IRIS Hue Pro
IRIS Hue Pro helps you sculpt beautiful color palettes without ever breaking your image. Unlike the hue curves in Resolve, its range is much more limited, ensuring that you can never rotate your six primary and secondary vectors past their nearest neighbors. This gives you all the more space to fine tune the subtle nuances of your look with highest possible precision.
Unlike the rectilinear character of tetra-based tools, this uses a cylindrical color model and smoother curves to ensure transparent and natural results under the most extreme circumstances.
The Hue Tilt feature allows you to shift highlights and shadows in opposite directions, creating a subtle filmic skew to the hues along the tonal spectrum. This can be used instead of or in addition to a split tone scheme to enhance color separation.
IRIS Saturation Pro
IRIS Saturation Pro uses an advanced adaptive saturation model that facilitates ultra-clean cinematic saturation for your looks. Its internal math allows you to pump as much color as you’d like into the image without the cube ever spilling over. Highly saturated areas will stay virtually unaffected, while colors of low and medium saturation will saturate in an organic, filmic way.
The tool allows you to adjust how subtractively you would like your colors to saturate, giving you anything from subtle and transparent saturation to the much sought-after inky, subtractive saturation of a film print.
Conventional subtractive saturation tools such as ColorSlice tend to cause desaturated colors to become unnaturally bright. With IRIS Saturation Pro, due to its adaptive model, desaturating will always preserve the colors’ original luminosity:
IRIS Density Pro
IRIS Density Pro is the most high-precision color density DCTL. It allows you to recreate the rich color density produced by a subtractive medium like analog film, where highly saturated colors are rendered darker and richer. In digital imagery, surfaces with high colorfulness can appear emissive. This breaks visual cognition.
After density adjustment: Rich, deep reds. The highlights feel reflective, plausible and well integrated into the image.
With the Depth slider, you can control the saturation-density response. Higher values reduce the effect on low-sat colors like skin tones while increasing the effect on highly saturated colors. Try it yourself:
